3/10/2010 - Crime Stoppers USVI Needs Your Help-Year 2, Week 9

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes.  If you know something, please report it.  Even information that seems insignificant may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. Croix:  Detectives need your help to locate Alva "Papa" Hodge, who was 27 years old when he left his home in Estate Richmond on September 5, 2002, and was last seen at about 1:30 a.m. the next day at Stixx Restaurant in Christiansted.  Mr. Hodge is 5`4", 145 lbs, has a slim build, brown complexion, brown eyes, reddish brown hair with long locks, facial hair and sideburns.  He was wearing a yellow T-shirt, short jeans and black sandals. 

St. John:  A burglary occurred on March 4 at about 3:20 p.m. in Glucksberg.  Items stolen were a brown wallet with credit cards, a Lenovo laptop, an Aiptek HD digital camcorder, a Citizen Eco-Drive watch, an Omega watch, a gold hand chain, and a lady’s necklace.

St. Thomas:  Police need your help to identify the person(s) who shot and killed Lawrence Fraser of St. Thomas and Victor Smith of Tortola, both 24 years old, on October 31, 2009 at about 3:43 a.m.  They were traveling in the area of Back Street and Nye Gade in a white vehicle when one or more attackers shot into the vehicle, striking both victims several times.  Please help police find the killers.

3/3/2010 - Crime Stoppers USVI Needs Your Help-Year 2, Week 8

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes.  If you know something, please report it.  Even information that seems insignificant may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. Croix:  On June 3, 2007 at approximately 10:45 p.m. outside of S&I Bar and Restaurant in Estate Grove Place, 30-year old Mr. Casroy Stevens was shot and later died. According to information provided at the time, several shots were discharged from a late-model green or black SUV carrying three males.  Please help VIPD identify and arrest the killers(s).

St. John:  On February 22 between 12:00 noon and dusk, a black backpack was stolen from the back seat of a safari taxi which was parked at Trunk Bay. The items stolen were a U.S. passport, birth certificate, taxi badge, vehicle registration, and insurance papers.  Please help VIPD identify and arrest this thief.

St. Thomas:  On February 25 at about 10:00 p.m. at Smith Bay, someone fired several shots that hit two males.  Please help police identity the shooter(s) and bring them to justice.  The minimum reward for an arrest is $890.

2/24/2010 - Crime Stoppers USVI Needs Your Help-Year 2, Week 7

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes.  If you know something, please report it.  Even information that seems insignificant may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. Croix:  Detectives need your help to identify two or three black males, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, who have been involved in recent armed robberies near the seaplane parking area in Christiansted.  The men, wearing dark clothing and masks, were last seen running toward the Watergut Housing Community.  Please help police identify these robbers.  The minimum reward for an arrest is $890.

St. John:  A burglary occurred at 13C Carolina in Coral Bay on the night of February 6.  While the occupants slept, someone entered the residence and removed two LG cell phones and a CD player with an iPod dock.  Please help police identify this burglar.  The minimum reward for an arrest is $710.

St. Thomas:  Police are requesting your assistance with a shooting that occurred in the area of Simmonds Alley on February 17 at about 4:00 a.m.  A 43 year-old male victim was shot at least once and later died at the hospital.  Help police find his killer(s).  The minimum reward for an arrest is $1,070.

2/17/2010 - Crime Stoppers USVI Needs Your Help-Year 2, Week 6

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. CroixPolice are asking for your assistance to identify the person(s) involved in the shooting death of 27-year-old Drew Randol, which occurred the night of November 29, 2007.  Mr. Randol was last seen alive that night in the Diamond Crest Shopping Center near Sunny Isle.  His body was found in Estate Rosegate early the next morning.  Help police find the killers.

St. John:  Police are requesting your assistance with an automobile theft that occurred on February 9 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  The victims green Jeep Wrangler was parked in the area of Salt Pond, Coral Bay when a blue Panasonic Lumix camera, a black Nokia cell phone and leather case, and a black camera case with battery and memory cards were removed from the glove compartment. 

St. Thomas:  On February 11 at about 8:15 p.m., two black males entered the Villa Green Bar on Kronprindsens Gade and demanded money.  One suspect fired a shot and both fled on foot after taking $200 from the cash register.  Help police identify these armed thugs.

St. Croix: VIPD needs your help to identify the person(s) involved in the homicides of 20-year-old Akeem Lee who was shot on King Street in Frederiksted on January 4, and 31-year-old Gary Gonsalves and 16-year-old Charlesworth Gonsalves Jr. who were shot at Mutual Homes on February 3.  

St. John:  Sometime after 9 p.m. on February 3, a burglar(s) entered a home in Fish Bay while the occupants slept, stealing an iPod.  Please help police identify and arrest the individual(s).   

St. Thomas:  Police need additional information to identify the killer(s) of a male who was shot to death in the area of PMP basketball court on December 19, 2009 at about 5:40 a.m.   

Please help law enforcement to solve not only the four homicides above, but any of the other unsolved homicides in the territory. St. Croix:  Police have information that many female minors were sexually abused from 1993 to the present in the Estate Clifton Hill area.  If you or someone you know was a victim but don’t want to come forward, please report the assault(s) now through Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip line and help law enforcement to protect potential new victims.

St. John:  Please help police to identify the burglar(s) of a residence at 4-16 Chocolate Hole on January 23. Several large items were removed, including a refrigerator, air conditioner, bunk bed, and several power tools. It is assumed that a truck or car was used. 

St. Thomas:  Police need your assistance to solve a homicide on January 26 after 1 p.m. in the area of Lime Street, Tutu. The victim, Mr. George, was shot to death. Please help police solve these senseless murders that are plaguing our community.

St. Croix: On Thursday January 21, near the Seaplane parking area, a couple was robbed of their jewelry, cash, and other valuables. The masked and armed robbers were males in their teens or early twenties. Please help police identify and apprehend these perpetrators before someone gets hurt or killed.

St. John: Police are requesting your assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for a rash of burglaries of homes and villas across St. John. Items stolen included money, iPods, and laptop computers. The minimum reward for the arrest of a burglar suspect is $714.

St. Thomas: Police are requesting your assistance in identifying the killer or killers of Elliot Hodge Jr. who died of multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Hodge was shot on Saturday January 16 at about 8:37 p.m. in the area of Kirwan Terrace. The minimum reward for the arrest of a homicide suspect is $1250.

St. Croix: There has been a recent spate of shootings that have left two young men dead and several others hospitalized. Help detectives find the perpetrators and put an end to this violence. If you have any information about these killings, please call. The minimum reward for the arrest of a homicide suspect is $1,250.

St. John: Police are requesting the community`s help in identifying the burglar of a residence on January 11 at 7:15 p.m. at a villa in Maho Bay. The suspect entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole a black purse with a lizard finish that contained three credit cards, a driver`s license, and $700 cash. The minimum reward for an arrest is $714.

1/13/2010 - Crime Stoppers USVI Needs Your Help-Year 2, Week 1

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. Croix:  On January 3 at about 1:30 a.m., near the Department of Human Services Office on King Street in Frederiksted, Akeem Lee, a 20-year old male, was shot and killed. If you have any information about this senseless murder, please call us.  The minimum reward for the arrest of the killer(s) is $1,250.

St. John:  On January 4 at about 8:20 p.m., a burglar entered the second floor of a villa in Catherineberg. The burglar, described as a black male aged 18 to 25, 5`9” to 6`0”, and wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, took a black patent leather Dooney & Bourke handbag valued at $500, a silver Motorola Razr phone, $1,000 in cash, two credit cards, a driver’s license, and a passport.  Please help police identify and arrest this burglar.  The minimum reward for an arrest is $710 plus 10% of the value of the property recovered. 

St. Thomas:  Police are requesting your assistance in solving a rash of home burglaries in the Fortuna and Estate Thomas area. Stolen items include jewelry, money, and electronics. Please help us catch this burglar. The minimum reward for an arrest is $710 plus 10% of the value of the property recovered.

Solve this Crime

1/6/2010 - Crime Stoppers USVI Needs Your Help - Week 52

Crime Stoppers is asking your help to solve the following crimes. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to solve these cases.

St. Croix:  On August 18, 2008 at about 1:40 a.m., residents of Williams Delight reported a number of shots fired.  Police officers found 30-year old Shada Mustafa lying in his front yard with several gunshot wounds.  He was taken to the hospital but later died. Help detectives identify the killer(s). The minimum reward for this arrest is $1,250.

St. John:  On December 27 at about 6:30 p.m., a black backpack containing a woman’s US passport and a black iPhone in an orange case were stolen from a grey Isuzu Trooper while parked at Market Place. The minimum reward for this arrest is $357.

St. Thomas:  On December 25, at about 12:20 a.m. in the area of Silver Dollar Convenience Store, four masked individuals in a white Toyota Camry robbed and then opened fire on a group of people playing dominoes, wounding six individuals.  Help police identify these shooters and get these thugs off the streets.  The minimum reward for the arrest of the four suspects is $2,500
